At Shop Handmade Hawaii we cater to Hawaii’s handmade market. All the shops and products that you find on this site are crafted and shipped from the islands.

When you use Shop Handmade Hawaii you are supporting entrepreneurs in your community. An added benefit is that you’ll likely receive your orders quickly and may even have the opportunity for delivery and/or pickup!

Shop Handmade Hawaii also encourages and embraces community involvement. Each quarter a local non-profit organization is selected as our featured charity. Buyers and sellers have the opportunity to make donations and at the end of the term, donations are rounded-up and sent off to the receiving organization that strengthen the communities in our islands.

The operations and maintenance of the website is handled locally from Maui, Hawaii.

However, store owners personally manage and oversee their individual orders, products and policies.

We have specific criteria for shop owners, when making a purchase on Shop Handmade Hawaii you can take pride in the knowledge that:

  • Shop owners are local to the state of Hawaii. We cater to Hawaii’s handmade market, and all shop owners are subject to a verification process to ensure residency.
  • Products you find here on locally crafted and shipped from Hawaii. We also allow the sale of items that can be used as supplies for creating handcrafted goods. Supplies do not need to be handmade, but must ship from Hawaii. Drop shipping is prohibited.

Drop shipping is defined as a supply chain management method, in where the retailer/seller does not fulfill the orders. Orders are collected by the retailer/seller, then forwarded to a manufacturer, supplier or wholesale who then ship the goods to a customer.

Shop Handmade Hawaii does not allow drop ship retailers. All orders need to be crafted, packed and shipped or delivered locally.

As part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. This is used for the sole purpose of completing your sales transaction and sending your purchase to you.

All payment information is held securely by our trusted processors – our servers do not have access to your payment details.

Each quarter a local non-profit organization is selected as our featured charity and will benefit from the donations made on this website during their campaign. If you would like your charity to be considered, please contact us.

If you have coupons or a gift card, be sure to apply them to your order.

Yes! And we encourage that you contact sellers directly with any questions relating to: product inquiries, shipping, materials, packaging, etc.

Every product and shop includes a form that you can use which goes directly to the sellers for their response.

We currently accept credit card payments via Stripe.

  • Stripe is an industry recognized processor that offers secure credit card payment via MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

Yes! Gift cards are the perfect way to give a buy a gift without risking a choice not suited to your friend or loved one. A few things to note:

  • Gift cards can be purchased in any quantity in increments of $25-$250.
  • Gift cards are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase
  • Can be used in conjunction with sale prices and additional coupons
  • Gift cards can be purchased and scheduled for automatic delivery up to 1 year in advance:
    • You will need your recipients email address to send a gift card electronically. You can also include a personal message with your gift card email!
  • All sales are final on gift card purchases, unused balances are non-refundable.
  • If gift card emails are lost, we have the means to track and recover unused, valid gift cards

Shop Gift Cards

Shop Handmade Hawaii acts as a facilitator for the products and shops found on this website. This allows our shop owners to have full control over how they choose to run their business. With that being said, each shop will set their own policies regarding returns, exchanges and refunds.

When making a purchase, be sure to review the shop policies and make any inquiries you may have prior to your purchase.

With that being said, each shop will set their own policies processing times, shipping options and local deliveries and/or meet ups.

When making a purchase, be sure to review the store policies and make any inquiries you may have prior to your purchase.

We encourage that all disputes be handled between the buyer and seller directly. If a resolution cannot be met, Shop Handmade Hawaii can be consulted for a final determination decision.

You need to have an account and be signed in to be able to use the benefits of our wishlist feature.

When you see an item you like, that you may want to purchase in the future, you can add it to your wishlist. All items will be kept in your wishlist until you decide to make a purchase.

You can also share your wishlist with others via: email, facebook or direct link.

When you are in your cart, you may notice the option to “Save for Later”. If you decide to save an item to purchase for a later time, you can just save it in your cart.

Keep in mind that you do need to have an account and be logged in to be able to access your saved items.

This function is similar to the wishlist feature with a couple of exceptions:

  • Items that are saved for later are stored on your cart page
  • You cannot share your saved for later items as you can with your wishlist

Although you can’t share your saved items, you can move items from your “Save for Later” list to your wishlist and vice versa.

Coupons are offered by individual shops. You can find out about current offers by visiting a shop. You can also sign up for our newsletter where we will periodically share offers from our sellers.

When you follow a store you will be notified via email about new item additions.

If you wish to stop receiving store notifications, simply “unfollow” the store.

On each shop you’ll notice a “heart” icon that allows you to favorite a shop. When you add a shop to your favorites list, it will be saved in your account for easy access.

Unlike following a shop, with favorites, you will no receive any emails about shop updates.

When you become a customer on Shop Handmade Hawaii, you are automatically enrolled into our referral program.

From your “My Referrals” page within your Dashboard, you can share your unique referral link with your friends and family via email, Facebook and Twitter. When someone makes their first purchase while using your referral link, you will be entered into a monthly drawing to win a price valued up to $25!
