Pukalani Midweek Market

Saturdays

Pukalani Stables, Big Island

Looking for a farmers market that blends fresh local produce with Big Island paniolo history? Head to the Waimea Midweek Market at Pukalani Stables — a beloved Wednesday tradition on Hawaiʻi Island.

Held weekly at the Paniolo Heritage Center in Waimea, this market draws locals and visitors alike for a midweek mix of fresh goods, artisan foods, and handcrafted wares — all set against the backdrop of a historic ranch estate.

What You’ll Find

  • Fresh produce including greens, mushrooms, root vegetables, tropical fruits, and herbs
  • Homemade baked goods, jams, sauces, and condiments
  • Handcrafted jewelry, soaps, wooden goods, and original art
  • Prepared food like teriyaki BBQ, kettle corn, and locally roasted coffee
  • Massage and wellness vendors, seedlings, and floral arrangements

The vendor lineup rotates, but some favorites — like Aunty Kanai’s famous teriyaki — have become market staples. Live or recorded Hawaiian music often plays in the background, adding to the local charm.

A Historic Setting

The market takes place at Pukalani Stables, part of the Parker Ranch legacy and home to the Paniolo Preservation Society. You can shop and stroll through the free paniolo museum exhibits, which highlight Hawaiʻi’s cowboy culture and the history of the stables themselves.

This midweek event is a continuation of the original Waimea market that started at Anna Ranch and eventually moved to Pukalani for its more sheltered setting. Today, it’s one of several popular markets in the area — with the Saturday Kamuela Farmers Market taking place at the same location.
